Garden Rail Magazine

Garden Rail Magazine

Garden Rail is the only monthly magazine for outdoor model railways and continues to go from strength to strength under the editorial guidance of Tag Gorton. All the outdoor scales and gauges are covered.

This publication is great for inspiration and tips on techniques from others, great for all the latest news from manufacturers, and a great way to compare the offerings from various traders. O.K., hands up, who reads the Adverts first?

The Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers

The Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers

The Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers gives members access to almost 30 years of 16mm modelling experience.

Members run narrow gauge trains in the scale of 1:19 which represents 16mm:1ft running on 32mm gauge track (O Gauge) giving a prototype 2ft Narrow Gauge, or on 45mm gauge track (Gauge 1) representing 2ft 6" and 3ft Narrow Gauge prototypes.

Help and advice are willingly given, when joining you get a copy of the new members guide to modelling in 16mm narrow gauge, with 42 pages of colour pictures, diagrams and text giving invaluable advice. Also included are details of many of the manufacturers and suppliers in our scale.

A High-quality full-colour magazine "16mm Today" is produced every quarter, and there is also a quarterly newsletter with updates about national shows, area group events and local garden railway meetings; and a members sales and wanted section where you can find real bargains.

Full public liability insurance cover is provided for members' garden railway meetings and live steam locomotives.
The 16mm Association National Garden Railway Show is held every Spring.

The G-Scale Society

The G-Scale Society

The G-Scale Societyproduces the quarterly G Scale journal for members. There are local area group events and the opportunity to visit members layouts.

The annual convention includes the AGM, and features working layouts and plenty of trade support.

The Gauge 1 Model Railway Association

The Gauge 1 Model Railway Association

The Gauge One Model Railway Association (which is often referred to as G1MRA) is both a National and International body. Within the UK there are several local groups which arrange Summer programmes of informal running sessions at members’ tracks. Winter activities may include layout construction, a film show or a speaker on some aspect of Model Railway or Railway interest.

G1MRA publishes a quarterly Newsletter & Journal for members containing a wealth of information about the Association including members' articles, constructional details, news from the trade together with extensive trade advertising, colour photographs, members sales & wants and much more besides.
