Dual guage: supplied with 45mm wheelsets fitted and spare 32mm wheelsets in the box.

Each coach is supplied without numbering, but with the word "Guard" painted on as well as the '1' on the first class compartment doors. There is one pair of transfer numbers for the Brake/Composite supplied, that is F54, being the only coach built to this configuration.

Isle of Man 4 Wheel 'B' Coach, 3rd class

Isle of man 4 wheeled all 3rd Coaches in Maroon and Cream ('Blood and Custard') livery. No's available are B1, B2, B3, & B4.

These coaches are mainly constructed from injection moulded plastic, with 45mm wheel sets fitted, and 32mm wheel sets included to allow you to easily convert the gauge.

The official minimum radius for these coaches is 3' on any gauge of track, anyone venturing to a tighter curve does so at their own risk. That said the couplings on this stock can handle a R1 (2' radius) curve on 45mm gauge track. On a reverse R1 45mm curve there is some additional friction, but with great care a rake of these coaches will go through this type of track configuration. It should be noted that 32mm gauge track has less clearance to the wheelsets, resulting in more friction on tight curves. Whilst you can get round 2'6" radius curve with care 3' is the official minimum radius.

Overall dimensions are 250mm long and 120mm wide over the running boards, which unbolt if you have very limited clearances. Width over the door handles is 110mm. Height is approx 154mm.

When putting your coaches back in their box for storage please take care to get the lid the right way round otherwise it will put breaking strains on the end footsteps.
