This chassis provides a sound basis for scratch building your own locomotives. The main chassis is formed from steel with brass bearings; wheels and axles are steel and there is a worm drive to one axle. The tough electric motor will operate happily on two AA batteries, or with up to 4.8 volts when used with a speed controller. The chassis is supplied with battery holder for 2 x AA cells and an on/off switch.
